De opleiding omvat twee belangrijke gebieden: Tuina voor volwassenen en Tuina voor kinderen. De opleiding duurt drie jaar en kent de volgende toelatingseisen:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eerste jaar: voltooiing van de cursus Basis van de Chinese geneeskunde.<\/li>\n<li>Tweede jaar: voltooiing van de Geneeskunde, duurt de studie twee jaar. Indien je het eerste jaar Acupunctuur, of de gehele opleiding Acupunctuur hebt afgerond, kun je meteen doorstromen naar het tweede jaar.<\/p>\n<p>Buiten de docentcontacturen oefen je samen met medestudenten de geleerde technieken door middel van praktijkintervisie. Daarnaast loop je stage in klinieken. Hij heeft les gehad van gerenommeerde Chinese specialisten in massage, acupunctuur en orthopedie en studeerde bij professor Shuchun Sun, een vooraanstaande expert in China in de Traditionele Chinese geneeskunde. Baoshun Shi heeft gewerkt in het \u2018Instituut voor Orthopedie en Traumatologie\u2019 van de \u2018Chinese Academie voor Traditionele Chinese Geneeskunde\u2019 en in de \u2018China-Japan International Acupuncture and Tuina Clinic\u2019. Hij was ook hoofd van een priv\u00e9kliniek. Aarts studeerde af in de sinologie (taal en cultuur van China) aan de Universiteit van Leiden en volgde drie jaar lang een opleiding acupunctuur in Peking aan de Beijing Zhongyi Yao Daxue University. Terug in Nederland werkte hij vanaf 2003 bij Shenzhou als tolk en leerde daar Baoshun Shi kennen. Vanaf 2006 volgde hij de traditionele Tuina-opleiding bij Baoshun Shi en werkte vervolgens tot 2010 fulltime in zijn praktijk. Tijdens het eerste jaar leer je het verloop van de meridianen, het lokaliseren van punten en wordt je getraind in naaldtechnieken, moxa en cupping (het eerste jaar Tuina is gelijk aan het eerste jaar acupunctuur). In het tweede jaar ligt de nadruk vooral op casusanalyses en het live diagnosticeren en behandelen van pati\u00ebnten. Dit alles gebeurt in de klas in kleinere groepen onder begeleiding van de docenten.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Naast de lessen oefen je intensief met elkaar in studiegroepen en loop je stage in Acupunctuur- en\/of Tuinaklinieken. Dit kan zowel intern bij Shenzhou als extern bij erkende supervisoren.
