
Weixiang Wang MD, PhD.
Dean of Shenzhou Open University of TCM, member of China Association of Chinese Medicine, has 14 years work experience in Nanjing University and the teaching hospitals. He graduated from Nanjing University of TCM in 1989 and later received his master's and doctors degree from the same university. He has a vast experience, supervising foreign TCM students and practitioners' clinical practice and has authored and co-authored 10 publications on TCM published in China. Before joining Shenzhou Open University of TCM in Amsterdam, Dr. Wang also worked in Ireland, Hong Kong, Austria and Germany as guest professor and TCM doctor.

Dr. Shaomin Xue
Received her master's degree in 1991 from the Institute of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, which is connected to the Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing. Prior to this, she studied for five years at Beijing Institute of Chinese Medicine, specializing in acupuncture the following three years. Dr. Xue has many years of practical teaching experience in TCM, both in China and Europe. She has authored and edited five publications on acupuncture and TCM. She is also chairman of the Quality Control Committee of PEFOTS (Pan European Federation of TCM Societies).

Dr. J.P. van der Voorn
Studied medicine and biology at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and graduated both studies in 2001. Immediately followed by a residency in Pathology at the VU medical center, department of Pathology and he is involved in research at the department of Pediatric Neurology at the same medical center. Several scientific publications in his name as author or co-author have been published in medical journals. He conducts the second year of the Foundations of Western Medicine at Shenzhou.

Dr. H. de Wit
Received her master degree of Biology (cum laude), specialisation Neurobiology in 1996 at the Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam, followed by her Ph.D. degree at the University Medical Center Utrecht in 2000. She is currently working as a research associate at the Center for Neurogenomics and Cognitive Research (CNCR) at the VU Medical Center Amsterdam, and attended various scientific training programs in both national and foreign institutions in her field. Since 2000 she teaches various bachelor courses for biomedical students as well as master and Ph.D. courses in the field of Neuroscience. She conducts the first year Anatomy and Physiology classes of the Foundations of Western Medicine at Shenzhou.

Dr. R.N.J.M. Eussen
Lecturer of the postgraduate training in Western Medicine. Dr. R.N.J.M. Eussen studied medicine at the Rijksuniversiteit Utrecht. Upon completion of his studies, he was engaged for some time as a doctor at the Academisch Medisch Centrum in Amsterdam. He then studied angiology and dermatology in Essen, Germany. He has done virological research for the pharmaceutical industry as well as for a private clinic. Dr. Eussen has been a member of the NAAV (Nederlandse Artsen Acupunctuur Vereniging) since 1997.

Dr. Huijun Shen
Graduated from Shanghai University of TCM in 1982. From 1982 until 1985, he worked as a physician at the Xinjiang Hospital of Chinese Medicine. He obtained his master's degree at the College of Chinese Herbal Medicine, Beijing University of TCM in 1988. After that, he worked as a lecturer and associate professor at the Beijing University of TCM until 1995. In 1995, he moved to England where he is practicing in a clinic. Dr. Shen has a broad knowledge of and teaching experience in TCM.

Dr. Feng Li Yao
Studied traditional Chinese medicine at the Jiangxi College of TCM where he received his bachelor degree of Medicine in 1982. In addition, he worked at the Jiangxi Research Institute of TCM until 1985. From 1985 to 1987, he studied at the Nanjing University of TCM where he received his Master degree of Medicine, after which he worked as an associate professor at the teaching hospital of Beijing College of Acupuncture. He furthermore has been a consultant at a military hospital in Xiamen and also has worked in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In 2000, he moved to the Netherlands and worked as an acupuncturist. Since 2006 he works in his own clinic.

For the past 20 years she has been practicing, teaching and doing research in the field of Chinese herbs and acupuncture with an emphasis on dermatology in which she has accumulated a vast knowledge and expertise. She is also a supervising doctor for herbalist students.

He received his license to practice medicine in the Netherlands in 1994 and is BIG registered since 1998. He followed an education for doctor-acupuncturist at the Nederlandse Artsen Acupunctuur Vereniging (NAAV), and he is member of the NAAV since 1997. He considers acupuncture an effective form of Traditional Chinese Medicine that can support and supplement regular medicine. He is also a supervising doctor for acupuncture students.

Dr. S.M. Sukrisno
Was born in Indonesia. At the age of 15 she moved to China where she completed high school. In 1976 she graduated as a medical doctor in China. After moving to the Netherlands, she studied medicine at the VU in Amsterdam where she received her diploma in 1990. She studied acupuncture in China and in the Netherlands and is a member of the Nederlandse Artsen Acupunctuur Vereniging (NAAV) since 2005. She is also a supervising doctor for acupuncture students.

In 1986, Dr Wu completed his master's degree in medicine at Shanghai University of TCM. He then worked as a lecturer and consultant at Nanjing University of TCM. He was appointed associate professor there in 1992. Dr Wu came to England in 1993. He has been engaged in Chinese medicine academically and clinically since then. He was the Program leader of BSc TCM at Middlesex University - the first Chinese medicine degree program in Europe. Currently he is a senior lecturer and professional adviser to Traditional Chinese Medicine degree course at Middlesex University. Dr Jidong Wu has been practicing TCM in the London and Cambridge area since 1994. He specializes in Acupuncture therapy. He is also adept at treating gynaecological disorders with Chinese medicine with good results. Dr Wu is a registered member of British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), a Council member of The Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ATCM) and Honorary member of Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM).

Her exhaustive schedule currently includes full-time practice in her private clinic, regular contributions to professional journals and completing her duties as Academic Executive of the ATCM and Fellow of the RCHM. She is a part-time lecturer at Salford University, and a visiting speaker at colleges in the UK and Europe. Dr. Tang combines her extensive experience of Chinese medicine, in particular gynaecology, with an uncomplicated delivery style.
