As a follow up after the Basics of Medical Qigong!
This course is a continued course. Participants are expected to have followed the Basics of Medical Qigong previously. As the previous course dealt with exercises of different styles of Qigong such as Shaolin practice, basic posture training and dynamic posture exercises, this course, as a follow-up, focuses more on the use of the exercises for certain ailments. Such as Sinew changing Qigong and more advanced Shaolin one-finger meditation. At the previous course there have been some preparatory exercises for emitting external Qi and the Emitting External Qi exercises. During this course we will also focus on the Application of External Qi.
LECTURER: Dr. Wang Weixiang, graduated from Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1989 and later received his Master's degree and Doctor's degree from the same university. Since then he worked as a lecturer, associate professor latterly and physician at this university and its affiliated hospitals specializing in acupuncture and Tuina therapy. Dr. Wang was the director of Medical Qigong and Preserving Health Department of Nanjing University of TCM from 1998-2000. He has been invited to give TCM lectures and clinic directions by relevant TCM organizations in Ireland, Hong Kong, Austria and Germany since 1994. Dr. Wang possesses over 10 year's experiences working with foreign TCM students and practitioners in his university, and the affiliated hospitals, which is also one of the five WHO Collaborative Centers in China. In 2001 he was invited to Germany to participate in a clinic research project sponsored by Erlangen University (Germany) and Nanjing University of TCM on Hypertension till 2002. During that period he also worked with his German medical colleagues in a local hospital for patients both from clinic and ward on diverse diseases. Till October 2003 Dr. Wang has authored and co-authored 10 publications on Chinese Medicine.
