Externships
Acceptable Externship Apprenticeship both in the Netherlands and China.
Graduates of SOU can increase their knowledge and skills by means of practical training in China at Beijing University or Zhejiang TCM College and at universities which are recognized as Traditional Medical Training Centers by WHO (World Health Organization). Clinical apprenticeship hours and duration must be stated on a certificate from the relevant institute. If students from SOU wish to do apprenticeship in other institutes in China, a pre-enquiry to the study coordinator of SOU is recommended to ensure the apprenticeship hours are recognized by SOU.

Students of SOU may also do their apprenticeship elsewhere. A reason for doing external apprenticeship can be the distance from home to our clinic. The students should find the place of apprenticeship him/her self, and an evaluation of the TCM practitioner should be pre-arranged. Please consult with the study coordinator on procedures and more details.
