Acceptable Transfer Credit from accredited schools in the Netherlands
SOU accepts students who studied at one of the other accredited schools on TCM in the Netherlands. The student must have finished the study year with a score high enough to be, normally speaking, transferred to the next study year. A letter from the school with exam results is required. Sufficient proof by means of a statement of the former school should be delivered stating the subjects treated. SOU will compare the level of education to an equivalent level at SOU. The student may take up the study at SOU from the point of the equivalent level.

Students who studied TCM at a school outside the Netherlands can take up their study at SOU. Challenge Examination for the Equivalent Course Level for a non-accredited Institution
When the student followed a course at a non-accredited institution in the Netherlands or outside the Netherlands, SOU offers the opportunity to do an examination. A result of 60 points is necessary. The student may take up the study at SOU from the level of the examination. Examination cost is charged and should be paid before the exam takes place.
Examination on request of a Professional Association
A graduate from a school outside the Netherlands, applying for membership at one of the Dutch professional associations may need to do an exam at one of the accredited educational institutes in the Netherlands. SOU as one of the accredited educational institutes offers this opportunity. Exams are in the English language. A statement of the result is sent to the professional association of which the candidate receives a copy. Examination cost is charged and should be paid before the exam takes place.
